Fellowship Place is a learning community in New Haven that supports members in developing social, vocational, educational & artistic skills that enable them to live independent and productive lives in the community. Each member has a staff advisor that helps them set recovery goals and choose groups, classes and services to meet their individual needs. Membership in Fellowship Place is open to people who have a mental illness/or substance abuse and are referred to Fellowship by a clinician, doctor or social worker and live in the Greater New Haven area. To be eligible for services from Fellowship Place, you must meet the criteria below:

  • You must be eighteen years or older and have a diagnosis of a major mental illness and/or substance abuse
  • Priority is given to residents of Catchment Area 7 (New Haven, Woodbridge, Bethany, or Hamden).
  • You must be receiving ongoing clinical services.
Note: In the event that you are currently receiving or are eligible for DMR (Department of Mental Retardation) services, Contact the Community Service Network prior to getting a referral packet.

If you meet the above criteria and want to join Fellowship Place, ask your clinician, doctor, or social worker to complete an "Interagency referral form with you.

Services for those who are homeless: If you or someone you know is homeless or at risk of being homeless, you or they or they may be eligible for additional services through the "Supported Housing Program" and Fellowship Place.
